TrustTree Financial

We Are...

an independent financial advisory firm, meeting the needs of clients nationwide. We are also a fiduciary firm, which allows us to have freedom to select the best in technology, products, and companies.

We say "no" to...

sales quotas, corporate mandates, and forced product selling. We do not work on commission. We also do not believe in taking excessive risk that may set you back in pursuit of financial freedom.

Our focus is...

smart financial planning and vigilant investment management, which includes downside protection so bear markets don’t knock you off your path to your goals.  Then we emphasize education, so you understand how you’re invested and why.

We consider ourselves to be...

an independent boutique firm with all the experience and knowledge of a large conglomerate. And without all the conflicts that Wall Street is known for.

We help people...

plan and work towards FINANCIAL FREEDOM. While you are getting there, we'll help you feel organized, confident, and optimistic.

A Word From Our Founder

Brandon Opre

I'm an industry veteran with over 30 years of experience. Over this time, I’ve seen many markets and market cycles. I’ve also seen the industry from many angles:

  • Managed a franchise for a large nationwide brand
  • Financial Advisor for a brand-name wealth management firm serving higher net worth individuals
  • Financial Consultant and Assistant Branch Manager for a large discount broker
All these organizations were smart and innovative, but one thing bothered me. It was more about making money for the company than making money for the client. And during times like 2008, when the clients got hurt even with advisors, I thought the industry could do a lot better.

I knew there had to be a better way. I decided to leave and form my own independent Registered Investment Advisory. Registered Investment Advisors are fiduciaries, meaning they have to put your interests first, so they are a big improvement over these large brand names.

However, now many Registered Investment Advisors are attempting to maximize profits at the expense of clients. One example is the trend toward outsourcing of investments, with a recent report showing that firms that outsource investing make more money than those that don’t. While I understand why they do it, I don’t agree with that approach. It’s not good for the client.

That’s why at TrustTree, we manage your investments in-house. And instead of handing your work off to more junior associates, you work directly with equally experienced professionals or us. That way, your money won’t get caught up in anyone’s learning curve. Instead, it keeps working for you, so you can achieve financial freedom faster.

Financial Advisor

I love what I do because each and every day, I am helping make a difference. My goal is to inspire and empower people to make better financial decisions. I am relentlessly striving to learn more about my craft, to remain an expert in my field. I want to share what I know because I think our society can greatly benefit from more financial education.

I learned some valuable lessons in the financial world at a young age, particularly in planning, investing, and discipline & patience. Fast forward through 30+ years of experience, study, and various market cycles, and now I find myself teaching others these valuable lessons.

My vision for TrustTree Financial is to be a well-respected, family-oriented firm. A boutique shop that works with a small number of clients and provides excellent value. That's what I look for when evaluating companies that I do business with, and I work best with others who share a similar mindset.

I volunteer in my local community, help with my HOA, and coach my daughter's sports teams.

In my spare time, I enjoy family activities with my wife Christine, daughters Viviana and Ella, and two dogs. I also prioritize health and have an active lifestyle, including mountain biking, basketball, golf, boating, and snowboarding.

Financial Advisor

Managing your wealth can feel like one of the most challenging tasks in life. We hear it all the time; the one constant is change. A dynamic economy, an evolving political landscape, a shifting global balance, all of which can create uncertainty and trepidation when deciding how to approach your financial goals. With 25+ years of experience, I help my clients make this journey more comfortable and more successful.

I was drawn to finance at an early age. I knew that I was destined to work in the field when I created the winning portfolio in my grade school stock-picking contest. Shortly after graduating Cum Laude from the University of Miami in 1994, I obtained my securities licenses, and I have been practicing to this day.

My career has taken me from Miami to Wall Street and back, working at various brokerage firms and banks. The next step in my evolution was to become an “independent” financial advisor. At TrustTree Financial, I can take the knowledge and experience that I have collected over the years and efficiently guide my clients through the financial landscape. No constraints of a major bank. No sales pressures of a brokerage firm. Completely independent.

My primary objective is to help you construct a plan that will allow you to achieve your financial objectives. You may be considering the purchase of a home, saving for your child’s education, planning for retirement, or looking at options to protect your family. At whatever stage you find yourself on your journey, I can help you design an ideal strategy to succeed at one or multiple goals.

When I am not creating financial solutions for clients, you can find me searching for hidden gems in the neighborhood restaurant scene, in my kitchen trying to duplicate my favorite dishes or at a sporting event rooting on my favorite teams.

Giving Back - Our Promise

Over the years we have dedicated much time and resources to giving back to the community. Although we partner with a wide variety of charities, we are passionate about helping our youth become financially responsible and prepared for the "real world". For every referral that TrustTree receives from an existing client, we donate $50 to a local Junior Achievement (aka “JA”). The JA mission aligns with our beliefs that we need to inspire and prepare our youth to succeed. JA’s educational focus is on entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and workplace readiness.  We are excited to contribute and give back to the community via our local JA.
